Hyundai’s new Grand i10  is confirmed for a September 3 launch in India. Based on the next-generation i10, which will make its debut at the Frankfurt motor show next month, the Grand i10 will be positioned between the current i10 and the i20.

These new spy shots reveal the upcoming Hyundai Grand i10’s interiors. The cabin features dual-tone interiors, circular air-con vents, a dash-mounted gearbox similar to the one in the i10, climate control, dual airbags and an audio system with USB, aux-in and Bluetooth compatibility. The higher variants will get alloy wheels, chrome door handles, electric wing mirrors and keyless entry and go as well.  

The car will be offered with two engine options, a 1.1-litre, three cylinder U2 VGT diesel motor that develops an estimated 70bhp, and the familiar 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine with a four-speed automatic as an option. The Grand i10 will be available in four trims  Magna, Sportz, Asta and Asta (O).


We expect the hatchback to come with a starting price of Rs. 4.5 lakh  for the base petrol variant.

The HTC Desire 600c dual-SIM is a CDMA variant and supports GSM+CDMA networks. The phone runs Android Jelly Bean with HTC Sense on top with BlinkFeed and other features. However, it's not clear at this stage whether the phone is running Android 4.1 or Android 4.2.

As the launch of Samsung's Galaxy Note III flagship phablet nears, the tech grapevine seems to have turned their attention to the company's other flagship smartphone Galaxy S4. Speculations have already started about the next-generation of Galaxy S4, most likely to be called Galaxy S5. A South Korean news website has reported that the upcoming Galaxy S5 will have a 16MP camera with optical image stabilization. This will be an upgrade from the 13MP camera module used in the Galaxy S4 and widely expected to also feature in the upcoming Galaxy Note III.

However, the report also says that the Galaxy Note III will not have optical image stabilization feature, contrary to popular rumours. The only Samsung phone to have this feature currently is the Galaxy S4 zoom, which is a cross between an Android phone and a 16MP camera.

1. Back up and save your files. Formatting the C drive will erase all files, programs, and information saved on the C drive, so you may want to back up any files you want saved.Save your files to an external hard drive or disc, or save your files to another folder on the network, if applicable.

After your C drive has been formatted, you may be prompted for your computer name during the installation process in order to reconnect to the network.Go to your computer's "Start" menu, right-click on "Computer," then select "Properties" from the menu that appears. 3. Insert the Windows 7 installation disc. In some cases, you may have the Windows 7 installation program saved on a Universal Serial Bus (USB) flash drive, which can also be inserted.
4. Turn off your computer. Your computer will have to reboot in order to read the Windows 7 installation disc.Open your "Start" menu, then click on "Shut Down."

Windows 8.1 is ready

Microsoft has gradually teased details of the next version of Windows 8, called Windows 8.1, over the last few months, emphasising that it's a free software update that will release later this year.

The company finally presented Windows 8.1 for the first time at its Build Windows Developers conference in San Francisco on 26 June, and it released an early preview - or beta - version for software developers to test.

The next version of Windows will notably bring back the Start Button missing from Windows 8, which released in October 2012, and it will include a bevy of new features, changes and performance enhancements geared toward overhauling the platform. The company said it developed Windows 8.1 in response to feedback.


With that said, here's what to expect and what do you need to do to get ready. We plan to bring you a review of the new OS update when we get a hands-on with it following Build.

Microsoft has offered a Windows 8.1 preview release since 26 June, but has now revealed that the full consumer version will be available from 17 October. It said that it will go live at 12am on 18 October in New Zealand, so that means 12pm in the UK, 7am on the east coast of America and 4am on the west.


If you can't wait, the preview is still available for Windows 8 and Windows RT, so developers and early adopters can begin testing now. As you would expect Windows 7 users will have to upgrade to Windows 8 before then trying out the Windows 8.1 update.

While the movie doesn’t have an official start or release date yet, Warner Bros. has confirmed that production will start next year and that the finished product will be hitting theaters on July 17, 2015. Snyder is developing the story alongside Goyer and while we don’t know how far along in the process they are, presumably they have at the very least started working on the first draft. 

When Warner Bros. announced at Comic-Con that they would be moving forward with a Superman/Batman movie, they didn’t include a plot synopsis telling us what the movie is about but titles for the film mentioned by Goyer suggest that the film will have the two heroes at each other’s throats. During the panel celebrating the 75th Anniversary of Superman, the screenwriter told the audience, “We’re actually not sure whether the title is Superman vs. Batman or Batman vs. Superman but yes, it’s that rematch, that combination, the two guys onscreen and that’s happening.” Combined with Harry Lennix’s aggressive “Dark Knight Returns” quote at Comic Con and the fact that Warner Bros. has registered both BatmanvsSupermanMovie.com and Batmanvs.Superman.com and there appears to be a good amount of evidence suggesting that Superman and Batman will be enemies before they become friends. 

We've also heard that director Zack Snyder is meeting with Frank Miller to discuss the project. Specifically they're meeting to "go over the plans for the Superman film." Miller, for his part, had no idea a Batman vs. Superman movie was happening even though it was announced at Comic Con using a quote from "The Dark Knight Returns", a comic he wrote. We don't know what level of involvement Miller will really have yet, whether he's collaborating on the script or just going over a few ideas.

1. ‘A Clockwork Orange’ by Anthony Burgess : “Burgess creates a fictional argot called Nadsat, influenced by Russian, which teenagers use to communicate in a bleak and violent future. I'm not a linguist and I knew I couldn't sustain a dense argot for the whole of ‘The Bone Season,’ but ‘A Clockwork Orange’ did inspire me to introduce a criminal slang, giving the novel some linguistic color.”
2. ‘Daughter of Smoke & Bone’ by Laini Taylor: “The first in a trilogy, this is a wildly inventive, dark fairy tale about angels and chimaera, mostly set in Prague. It has a bit of ‘Pan's Labyrinth’ about it. Laini Taylor has a writing style I really envy: lyrical, sensual and evocative without ever being pretentious. The novel reads a little like a poem, a love-song to the mysteries of the world.”
3. ‘The Handmaid's Tale’ by Margaret Atwood: “This is the book that introduced me to the dystopian genre. The narrator, Offred, has a voice that teeters between passivity and agitation, and the world Atwood creates is truly frightening: ritualistic, brutal and misogynistic  with uncomfortable echoes of reality.”
4. ‘I, Robot’ by Isaac Asimov: “I'm a huge fan of all of Asimov's robot stories. This collection is particularly thought-provoking and sometimes disturbing. His robot characters are often more 'human' than the scientists that work with them. Asimov tackles the timeless question of what humanity is, what it means and who has it, which is a subject I look at through the Rephaim in ‘The Bone Season.’
5. ‘1984’ by George Orwell: “This is classic dystopia. The last sentence haunted me for weeks after I finished it. Orwell's characters demonstrate why I like writing dystopia: they break, they turn on each other, they fear and weep and feel terrible pain. Dystopia forces characters to their limits, allowing you to see sides of them you might never otherwise have seen.”
